Why is the lobby on the 8th floor?
Hotel Gracery occupies floors 8–30 of the Shinjuku Toho Building. The lower floors house TOHO Cinemas, restaurants, and a 7-Eleven. The hotel lobby, front desk, Godzilla terrace, and
Gracery Lounge cafe are all on the 8th floor. You enter the building at street level and take a separate elevator up to the hotel lobby.
Can the massage therapist go straight to my room without meeting in the lobby?
No. The guest-floor elevators require a room keycard. Your therapist can reach the 8th-floor lobby independently (the lobby elevator is open to visitors), but they cannot go higher
without your keycard. Meet them at the 8th-floor lobby and go up together.
Can I book a late-night massage at Hotel Gracery? (after midnight)
Yes. Many outcall services accept bookings until 3:00–5:00 AM. A late-night surcharge typically applies (¥1,000–¥2,000). The hotel lobby is accessible 24 hours, so the meet-up process
works the same. Confirm the surcharge and total price before dispatch.
Is the Kabukicho area safe at night?
Kabukicho is lively and well-lit 24/7. It is Tokyo’s main entertainment district, so expect crowds and street touts late at night. The area is generally safe for tourists, but use
standard big-city awareness. The hotel building itself has security and the lobby area is calm and well-staffed.
Is the 18 m² standard room big enough for a massage?
For shiatsu on the bed or deep tissue on the bed, yes — it works fine. For oil massage on a floor mat, it is tight but possible if you shift the desk chair aside. If you want a more
comfortable floor-based experience, consider upgrading to a comfort double (20 m²) or a deluxe twin (up to 32 m²).
Shiatsu or oil massage — which works better at Hotel Gracery?
Shiatsu is the safer bet in standard rooms. It is done on the bed through clothing — zero setup required, and the compact room is not a factor. Oil massage works well in comfort or
deluxe rooms where there is more floor space for a mat.
Can I get a couples massage (two therapists at the same time)?
Only in a deluxe twin room (up to 32 m²). Standard and comfort rooms are too compact for two therapists working simultaneously. If a couples session is important, book a larger room
type and mention it when reserving the massage.
How much does an outcall massage cost in Tokyo?
A 60-minute session typically costs ¥15,000–¥25,000, and a 90-minute session ¥20,000–¥35,000. Prices vary by service, massage type, and time of day. Late-night bookings (after
midnight) usually add ¥1,000–¥2,000. Always confirm the total before dispatch.
What types of massage can I get delivered to my hotel room?
Most outcall services offer shiatsu (Japanese acupressure, done through clothing on the bed), oil massage (Swedish-style, using towels or a mat), and deep tissue massage (stronger
pressure targeting knots and tension). Some services also offer Thai massage, sports massage, or lymphatic drainage. Specify the style when booking.
How far in advance should I book?
Same-day booking is standard. Most services can dispatch within 60–90 minutes. The Shinjuku area is central, so therapist travel time is typically short. For peak nights
(Friday/Saturday evenings, holiday periods), booking a few hours ahead gives you more options.
Is Shinjuku a convenient location for outcall dispatch?
Extremely. Shinjuku Station is the busiest station in the world, connecting JR lines, multiple Metro lines, and private railways. For outcall services dispatching therapists from
central Tokyo, arrival times to Hotel Gracery are among the fastest available.
Do I need to tell the hotel it is a massage?
No. You are meeting a guest in the lobby and escorting them to your room. That is normal behaviour for a registered hotel guest. Keep it simple and polite.
